The walk from Bulgaria Square continues to the early Christian complex, the Archaeological Museum and the Episcopal Basilica. Mosaics, tombstones and other evidences of the history of the area are presented.
St. Vratsch Park.
The route passes past the old fountain and fountains to Interhotel Sandanski, after which the participants have time for lunch and walk in the park.
Archaeological details
The monastery is in the area "Smilovo." The early Christian complex in the center includes basilica, a hundred and an antique street from the V-VI century. In the museum part the original presents Roman marble sculptures from the I-III century and mosaics from the IV-VI century. The Episcopal Basilica was identified as a rescue dig in 1989 under the leadership of Vladimir Petkov.
