The project
In November 2023 Horizons Foundation completed a project for civic participation in monitoring the web accessibility of public resources in Bulgaria.
Financing
A budget of 49 199 BGN under the "Good Governance" Operational Programme is set out in a procedure for participation of citizens in implementation and monitoring of policies and legislation.
Checks and training resources
In 15 months blind experts develop a questionnaire for screen reader testing. Volunteers with mentors check 104 websites of public institutions. The results are summarised in analysis and recommendations. Three training videos were created and three workshops were held in November 2023.
BART participation
The final seminar took place on 30 November 2023 at the Chitalishte Nature and Science in Sofia. Members and representatives of the BART Management Board shall participate. The project is implemented by the Initiative for Social Integration Foundation. The data describe the completed initiative and do not constitute an ongoing assessment of the sites checked.
